A look at Kaiser Wilhelm II, the last German Emperor and a much misunderstood and unjustly maligned historical figure. His loss in 1918 was a great loss for Germany and the end of an era of German greatness. He had his faults as we all do but he was not a bad man, he was not a villain and he was a great deal more of a monarch than he is often given credit for.

  • truely the last german worthy of being called a german. so much propaganda was writen about him trying to make him out to be a bloodthirsty monster, but few read the books that count. may he forever rest in peace and never find out what we germans have done to his country, and the may never find out who is sitting in the reichstag today, hightreason he would shout.

may the glory of the hohenzollern return to germany and lead us into a new golden age.

  • @MadMonarchist May I ask which version of the song this is?

  • @mad monarchist

    He was indeed very vain.

But his martial stance was NOT a pose, for he was also a man of real courage, honour, loyalty and integrity.

    And certainly not a fool.

If the US would not have entered WW1 in 1917 the history of the 7 yr war would have repeated itself, as hoped it would, and he would have been regarded nowadays as a true successor of Frederick the Great in nearly every way.

In fact he had a lot of qualities of Frederick II.

    Artistic, courageous, stubborn, intelligent.

  • I love kaiser wilhelm ii & Heshmat king.

  • Monarchy will always be the best form of government which I am fortunate to be ruled under and His imperial and Royal Majesty Kaiser Whilhem of Germany was indeed a worthy and great Monarchy!

Praise be to you your majesty, respect from the United Arab Emirates.

  • Even tho this is world war 1, i believe in world war 2, germany was advanced (for their time) with ideas and military tactics. They nearly even made a long range missle. Plus big bertha (if i had spelled it correctly). Sending its ammo past the atmosphere to come down on a target with great force.

  • @rw5791 Thats the busby of the Deaths Head Hussars...We have no doubt that some Turks and others also wore something similar...pretty intimidating, to see THAT coming at you in a large cavalry formation!!

  • @normanvonputz You feel so strongly about restoration to the monarchy of Germany, apply your voice and speak for the german people.

  • that fur hat with the large death skull...........................I thought that was a turkish hat?I'm pretty sure I've seen pictures of turkish officers wearing that hat in ww1.

  • A very misunderstood man, a world away from Adolf Hitler.
