Good point on shoulder stability n strength. I was just getting an idea.. I got 41 seconds at 236 lbs and have an immediate goal of a minute. I don't know about others but I definitly feel it toughens the hands as well as it pulls hard on tissue. Take care.
I was about 145. To be clear, the orangutan record entails hanging from one hand solely. You can't switch hands back and forth. I could do that for 8 min if I had to. It’s impressive at any weight because it's so very difficult. It doesn’t get much harder for someone 20 or 40lbs heavier to match this performance as it is relative to not only grip strength, but shoulder and ligament strength, which helps stabilize the individual from turning or creating torque. 185+ class may be warranted.
