  • Just like Daddy...lol

on that note, I hope Colonel John does just like daddy in the Kentucky Derby.

  • Tiznow didn't run in the Derby.

  • Tiznow won his first of two BC CLASSICs at Churchill

  • He won the second one. And he still didn't run in the Derby

  • I really appreciate your videos. Always interesting, with excellent music choices. I don't know anything about this horse. Hope you have more information on him. Cheers.

  • Seriously? He only had 4 starts in 2004, but still won the Breeders' Cup Classic, and Horse of the Year honors.

  • He had the speed of Dr. Fager but not his durability. Had Ghostzapper been able to run twice as many races without loss of form, you're talking about one of the 10 greatest horses of all time.

  • One of my favorites, and one of the most talented horses of all time. Thank you!

  • @DanielSong39 i would go as far as one of the top 5 of all time based on your comment

  • His critics like to say he ran only eleven races and needed long periods to recover thus can't be considered great! My question is ...what is the race quota to be considered great? Would Secretariat or Dr. Fager run as often as they did with the injuries Zapper had? I doubt it! Also his critics are yet to indicate which horse would have prevented him from repeating his flawless 2004 campaign!! In my opinion beating the same horses five more times isn't necessary for me to consider him great!!

  • @caliwaters88 freak doesn't even begin to describe what this phenom showed! If he only ran eleven times and we dare to suggest that he is the fastest ever, can you imagine if he ran six more races?? His critics can only say he ran few races but the real question is if Secretariat had Zapper's health issues and ran only eleven races would he be absent from bloodhorse top 100 horses and ignored like Zapper or mean that he was any less talented??

  • @carlykaiser first, THANX for the vids u post. zapp is my favrt. u plan on any other vids for him? LUV how u did this one, music is PERFECT! for the decade some of the film is fuzzy, aware that's often out of your control. any chance u'd do another? cuz i've always enjoyed your style of vids.IMO zapp 3rd best of all time behind S and Man despite just 11 races, imo quiet career cuz in&out due to injuries.

short career = "unnoticed" and "overlooked" but this monster should never be underrated

  • @melc1949 this horse was on track to S and Man type greatness if not retiring from injury... look at entire Vosburgh Stakes race, it's the race shown from 1:10 - 1:22 in this video... he's in last place apprx 12-15 lengths off lead until stretch cuz he didn't chase... and that BCC he won in 2004 is still the stakes record

  • I LOVE this horse!

  • i feel as if this horse was a 'hairline fracture injury' away from being an automatic mention whenever refering to the 'greatests' of all time... or at least an easy top 5... i just think it's a shame he's he's not in the bloodhorse top 100 probably due to only 11 races... but GEEZ!!.. he won 9 and set multiple records, including stakes records (BCC)

  • @DanielSong39 Well there's the rub isn't it? How can you compare Ghostzapper with, say, Damascus who as a 3 year old ran more races in the span of 5 months than Ghostzapper ran in his entire career. Ghostzapper was a superb, but fragile horse whose handlers picked their spots, only running him when he was in top shape. Damascus ran all the time, whether well or ill, & still managed to defeat two of the all time greats & win at virtually every distance from 6F to 2 miles -- as a 3 yr old.
