HURT CHAPTER 24

CAROLINA'S POV
Megan, Nikki, and I walked a couple of blocks to my favorite little café around the corner and were ushered in by a waitress. "What can I get you today Ms. Suarez?" My usual waitress asked. "Nikki and I will have the usual what do you want Megan?" I asked her and she still looked at me completely confused. She looked down at the menu in front of her, "Uh, I'll just have coffee I ate at home." She said to me and I nodded. "Fine then the usual and coffee." I repeated. The girl nodded and took the menus and walked away. "How often do you come here that you already have a usual?" Megan asked and I laughed. "I've been coming here almost every other morning since I was 18 so about 6 years." I answered. "Tata can I have my Nintendo?" Nikki asked and I reached into my bag and handed it to her getting ready to get to business. I was about to talk when Megan stopped me. "Okay Carolina I'm confused what the hell is going on here?" she asked. "Do you mind watching your language a little since my six year old niece is sitting right there?" I asked motioning to Nikki. "Sorry, but seriously, you've made it pretty clear that you don't like me so what's with the randomly showing up at my door and being nice? Or being nice to brother since last time you two were together you looked like you were about to get into a fist fight with him?" she asked and I nodded taking in all of her questions. "Well, first of all I've never said that I don't like you-" "It was implied." She cut in and I sighed. I hate being interrupted more than anything in the world. "Fine, trust me Megan if I didn't like you, you would've been out on your ass awhile ago." I said while the waitress came with our coffees. I took a sip of mine and put it down. "I'm just tough on you girls to get work out of you I mean half those girls are terrified of me and it's hilarious." I said and she raised an eye brow. "And what exactly did I do to suddenly get your being nice to me?" she asked. "have you seen how Liz and Sara are the only two who I'm actually some what nice to?" I asked and she nodded. "Well they did what you did." I said looking down at my phone. "Excuse me?" she asked and I rolled my eyes. "Megan you got the balls to stand up to me and you remind me of my sister so in other words I'm asking for a clean slate." I said. "You want to be friends?" Megan asked a little shocked and I nodded. "I guess, you're already close to Liz and Sara so you'd be a good add in to our group." I said and she looked at me with a blank stare. "Are you okay?" I asked smirking. "I'm sorry, still in shock of you being nice, something I thought was literally impossible." She answered and I laughed. "It's possible I just don't like to be too much effort."I said and she somewhat laughed. "Fine, but I have terms." She said and I nodded. "This should be interesting." I said sarcastically. "There, you have to cool it with the sarcasm makes you bitchy." She said and I nodded. "Can stop being a bitch completely?" she asked and I laughed. "Absolutely not, I'll be nice to you Megan but there's no way in hell that's happening." I said and she nodded. "little too much to ask eh?" she said laughing and I nodded. "Anything else?" I asked. "oh yeah you can not I repeat not tell my brother about Jordan." She said her face completely serious. I shrugged and nodded. "Fine are you done?" I asked. "Yes you now know my terms." She said and I nodded as if I was making a business deal. "Fine so what do we do now?" she asked and I shrugged putting down money for the food. "I'm taking this small fry shopping around fifth avenue you're welcome to join, I mean if we're going to be friends I need to buy nicer shoes." I said looking down at her boots. "What's wrong with my shoes?" she asked looking down at them. "So last season come on I'll buy a nice pair of Christian Louboutin heels." I said getting up. "uh no you're not." She argued. "Too late already made up my mind let's go." I answered. "Alright but please don't do that." She said. "What?" I asked. "tell me what to do pisses me off." She answered. "Fine." I answered rolling my eyes and grabbing Nikki's hand. "So since we're friends am I allowed to tell you how hot I think your brother is?" I asked and she looked at me and laughed. "Too soon?" I asked and she nodded. "Just a bit." She answered walking out with me.
