"I will no longer remain silent." Lt Gov Elect Brian Calley advocates for reforming Michigan insurance law to require insurers to cover proven treatments for autism. He discusses the benefits of the legislation for Michigan taxpayers as well as children with autism. Calley also reflects on his family's personal journey with autism.
Funny how Rep. Calley tried to stop anti-bullying legislation in the MI House and seemingly ignored testimony from parents and students although kids with disabilities have always been the top tier of students affected. So why would he not help other kids and his own daughter by asking schools to address this issue? As a parent who lost a child to bullycide and has fought for MI's kids, like your daughter for the last seven years, we also need "Matt's Law" to be passed.
