Girls- AHH! DADDY! *Hugs&kisses him on the cheeks*
Mr. Lovato- *smiling & hugs them both back* Look at you two, you both look absolutley beautiful
Demi&Selena- *blush* Awww, your just saying that!
Mrs. Lovato- *calls from the kitchen*David, are the girls here yet?
Mr. Lovato- *yells back* Yeah, hun they're here!
Girls- *yells from the front door* HI MOM!
Mrs. Lovato- I'll be out in a minute, let me just finish something really quick.
Mr. Lovato- Oh girls, come in. *smiling*
Demi&Selena- Thank you Daddy*grinning*
*they both walk in and go straight to the kitchen*
Mrs. Lovato- Oh, girls have a seat I'll be done in a few minutes *Looks at Demi & then turns to look at Selena* You both look incredibly gorgeous tonight, I'm blessed to have such beautiful daughters.
Girls- Thank you mom *ran over to Mrs. Lovato and gave her a quick hug*
*Selena's POV - "Aww, look at mom. She's a hot mess. This dinner must be really important if she's going through all the trouble of making everything look just perfect. Let's just hope Dems and I don't ruin anything."

Mrs. Lovato- *hugs back* Your welcome
Selena- *looks at a plate of Chicken Alfredo* Aww, mom you cooked already? (A/n Yumm!)
Mrs. Lovato- Sorry sweetie, I know I promised but I got carried away.
Demi- You baked cookies too? * Reached up to grab one*
Mrs. Lovato*slaps Demi's hands*
Demi- Ouch..*rubbing her right hand*
Mrs. Lovato- Sorry sweetie, you know the rules. Not before dinner.
Selena- Haha! * sticks her out at Demi*
Demi- *ignores Selena* But mom! I'm turning 21 soon, don't I get any benefits?!
Mrs. Lovato- Sweetie, I know your turning 21 but you know the rules and as far as benefits goes you know you get away with a lot.
Demi- *looks down and mumbles* But getting away with a cookie would be nice for a change..
Mrs. Lovato- what was that hunny?
Demi- *looks back up to find Selena gone* Nothing mom. Hey do you know where Selena went off too?
Mrs. Lovato- *shakes her head* No idea, now if you don't mind- run along and go play somewhere. I'm very busy hunny. (A/n my mom used to say that all the time :] )
Demi- *laughs* So much for turning 21.
*Demi gets up and walks into the dining room*
Demi's POV- "Wow, mom went all out for this dinner. She even brought out the good china." *Sighs* "Haha, I remember when me and Sel were younger- we used to play catch in this room and we accidently broke one of moms good china. Boy, was she mad. *smiling to herself* We were so scared that mom would hate us for breaking her plate then Sel had an idea and we went out and bought those craft kits where you make things out of clay...what do you call em'? Rose art? Oh whatever you call em', me and Sel stayed up all night making replacement plates for her and when we gave them to her in the morning before we left for school we saw her cry. That's when she told us that she's gonna keep those plates forever no matter how weird they look to us now." *starts to look for the plates in the display cabinet* OMG, where are they!? *hears Selena in the other room and walks into the living room*
That's when I saw the plates in Selena's hands.
I walked over to Sel and sat on the couch next to her.

Selena- Dad, do you remember these?! Oh my gosh, I can't believe mom kept them!
Mr. Lovato- *sits right between Selena and Demi* You know girls, out of everything in this house I'd have to say that your mother love those plates the most. *smiling*
Demi&Selena- *Smiling back*
Mr. Lovato- *takes the plates out of Selena's hands and looks at them* Haha, see look *points to a bunch of purple circles on Selena's plate* Barney. Your favorite show, and Demi *points to a red blob* there's Elmo.
Demi&Selena- *giggles*
Demi- I miss being home with you and mom
Selena- Me too!
Mr. Lovato *puts the plates on the coffee table and wraps his arms around his girls and kisses the tops of their heads* I miss you both being here too *smiling* But for now let's put these away before your mom has a heart attack when she sees that they're gone *gets up and puts the clay plates back into the display cabinet*
Demi&Selena- *goes into the kitchen and finishes helping their mom with setting up the table and everything*
(10 minutes later)
*Ding dong*
Mrs. Lovato- *looks at the kitchen clock* Oh my, David they're half an hour early!
Mr. Lovato- *walking to the front door, telling after his wife* It's ok hunny, I got it. *opens the door*
