I wouldn't mind the "monopoly" so much if they were at least required to be honest with their customers. "lifetime" subscriptions on receivers that fall apart in a year or two, hours on hold just to cancel, no written record of any transactions so they can accuse you of lying whenever they screw up. Their service is worse than that of most monopolies.

Sirius should have just let xm fold. It sucks now.

Myself like everybody else out-there likes having a choice. Mergers like this should never be allowed to happen because companies win while the consumer is at their mercy. for example, they can triple the monthly rate and get away with it because we no longer have a choice to go elsewhere.

congress...why cant they all just be shot in their heads....but I still cant believe that the merger went through....i have sirius and for radio it is great...but still listen to the ipod too

let see what Mr. Chairman, the techno-moon that has no clue where the off switch is on his cell phone will decide after explanation of Sirius Radio Slick known also as Boiler Room Radio Operations Executive. Give his some oxygen, Anybody!!. The XM quality sucks and the Sirius hardware and Service sucks superior. Maybe next Commander and Chief will be the one that knows how to operate computer, not the one that is "Internet Aware" one.
Already satellite radio is acting like a typical monopoly just weeks after FCC approval. It isn't like we said this wouldn't happen.
Executives like this just laugh at the government.

Not sure why this responses won't post. Let's just say, I love XM and it is a diamond. But not with the merger. Congress and the American people should not be asked to cover up for the bad decisions these networks made about over-paying talent. For more, go to: ivorytowerz dot blogspot dot com...
