"Stay" is a song from Pink Floyd's 1972 album Obscured by Clouds. It is known for being one of the album's particularly slow-moving, lyrical songs. It was also issued as the B-side of "Free Four".

Lyrics:
Stay and help me to end the day.
And if you don't mind,
We'll break a bottle of wine.
Stick around and maybe we'll put one down,
Because I wanna find what lies behind those eyes.
Midnight blue burning gold.
A yellow moon is growing cold.

I rise, looking through my morning eyes,
Surprised to find you by my side.
Rack my brain to try to remember your name
To find the words to tell you good-bye.
Morning dues.
Newborn day.
Midnight blue turned to gray.
Midnight blue burning gold.
A yellow moon is growing cold.

  • @faunoram one of the few songs Rick was featured on.The last studio Floyd song he sang on was "Time" and he didnt sing again til" Wearing the Inside out".Rick was so talented but I guess Roger - and to a lesser degree Dave -kinda sqeezed him out in 1981.Heard Dave told Roger he agreed to get rid of Rick and Roger claimed he said 'lets get rid of Nick too". I dont know how much truth there is to that.Dave claimed in an intervw that he was willing to let Rick stay if he wanted
