i would highly recommend starting with good old pencil and paper and learning the basics first

get off your computer and learn how to draw, only if you want to be a professional, you wont understand anything unless you understand how the human body works, how it squashes and stretches and how it moves so focus on that.

@AlgonquinAnimation ok thanks. i've downloaded a toonboom program and i'm still figuring out what all the features do and how the program works, but when i'm done with that and i know how it works i will bother you with some amateur stuff that is still in the making (probably violence and gore). thanks for the info :)
is it difficult to animate what i draw? (it's on my channel). Or does it just take time?

@diceasd Hi, your style isn't terribly difficult to animate but it's just a style. You have to apply principles of animation to any drawing to bring it to life. The style dictates the difficulty in applying these these principles. For example the more lines in the style the longer it takes to draw each drawing etc.
To animate anything convincingly does take time but also an understanding of the basic principles of animation and that takes a certain amount of talent and skill.

@StrangerDangerify
the software we use Toonboom Harmony for most of our 2D digital software but we do a crash course in Flash over 6 weeks. I think that clip is Harmony though.
