  • Can you make a video on how you ballast track?

  • @trainfann1 I made a track ballasting video a while back. Check out the videos on my channel and you should be able to find it. It was probably about 2 years ago or so.

  • Very Nice Eric. Lionel did a great job on this set. Are you going to get the MTH GE Evolution Hybrid Set?

  • @MichaelB450 Thanks. I didn't order the MTH hybrid set, but I may pick one up at some point. Not sure though.

  • @esiegel76 I think you should get it. It has the battery charge lights on the sides that flash like on your Lionel, It has Protosound 3 in it, It also has LED Headlights, Ditchlights, Number board lights, and Interior Lights, and it also has Ground Lights like on the Lionel. I will send you a Personal Message with a link to pictures of the unpainted model and I will put a link to a video in the same message.

  • @MichaelB450 I've seen the pictures of the pre-production model. I think it's going to be very nice, but not quite as nice as the Lionel version for obvious budgetary reasons. I will probably get one, though, out of curiosity. I do like the add-on engineering car that comes with the set. That's nice.

  • I saw one of these cars today in Alburtis, PA! It was no longer a BNSF but relettered to TILX but you can see where all the BNSF logos were on the refrigeration car!

  • @esiegel76 The passenger car does come with the engine and they also sell it separately.

  • Hi Eric, as it turns out the MTH AC6000 weighs in at 8lbs, 4ozs. This model weighs 7 lbs 4ozs. Now how is that? There the same length. If this engine weighs that much and has 1 lb 12ozs pull then I bet the MTH AC6000 has almost 3lbs pull, weighing 1lb more and having all wheels in drive. A quick question, how long with the couplers is an AC4400?

  • Thanks again Eric for another great review. Your're right. I see quite a few Ice Cold reefer cars here in Chicago usually in a consist with Cyro-Trans and PFE cars with the generator located outside on the front of the car.

  • @matthewnprovost Most brands of trains these days, including Lionel, are made in either China or Korea. There are a couple exceptions, however. Weaver makes some of the cars in the USA and Lionel has produced a few special boxcars in the USA over the last couple years.
