@vinniesvideos The electronic voice thingy is what got me too, fantastic hook. Bought this as a single, was a 16 year old 1st year apprentice. Spent most of my wages on records.
@vinniesvideos ok...wow....I,ll have to catch up with him...might invite u guys up here to the ranch in Noosa for a beer and a jam one weekend.....what do u think?...
This was filmed in an abandoned Industrial building in Redfern, where the band rehearsed. The animation is by Matthew Martin, cartoonist with the Sydney Morning Herald. I am playing keyboards.
So happy to hear/see this again: Rockmelons were lots of fun live in Sydney '87/'88. They made pretty awesome dance music, and had someone who played a nifty slide-guitar-like thing that made twangy, Chic-like sounds that really made them sizzle. Good memories. Thanks for posting this.
I have been looking for this forever...this is the funkiest song, and love you John Kenny!

@swanstep The instrument was an electrified dulcimer, an invention of its player, the great Jonathan Jones.
