Wii controls in Archlord by White Horse

The first of two videos.
This one shows the script made by me, working inside the game.
Look out for a soon release of my second video, wich focus on how to put my script working in other pc's.

Hi I have 2 questions :

1. U can also write with wii?

2. I have GamePad do u know If I can configure it to play archlord with it ? The gamepad is for Pc and Console it works i have tested it to other games single player. Please send me a PM if u can help me !!!

1- If i understood your question right the answer is: To chat in Archlord you will still need a keyboard.

2 - Using the same software I used (GlovePIE) and editing the script i did, you can program the fuctions to be trigered by your gamepad. But you will require some programing skills.Cheers.

well this aint hard....look at ds2win also know win2ds. there are movies that you can play WoW on your ds this is just stream from computer proberbly because there is a big chance that the wii hasnt enough power to do everything.

Not taking away merit from ds2win or win2ds, this is not the same case. There is no streaming involved, the game is not running on the Wii, neither the wii is connected to the PC in anyway. The only reason i need the wii on, is to power up the sensor bar. If having a wireless sensor bar, you don't even need the console. These controls are directly connected to windows via bluetooth (the same way they connect to the wii itself). Once again: No streaming involved.

Just having a software collecting the data from the sensors and inputs of the wii controllers. What i did is programming how to interpret what the controllers feel and mapping it to specific features of this game.. You can see the script code. That script was done specifically for Archlord. Technically it works anywhere inside Windows. But it will not translate well into other games. For such you would have to modify my script or start from scratch (depending on how diferent the game you intend is). If you have more doubts reply to my comment, and give more details on your intentions. :)

The Wii console is only being used to power on the "sensor bar", for pointing capacity. But "self powered wii sensor bars" exist on the market, making the wii uneeded for this game.

Due to some pc issues, and having less time/patiente than i antecipated, i ended up not doing the second video, still.

But i can give a short explanation.

I have a usb blutooth receiver installed on the pc, blutooth drivers that are able to connect to the wii controlers, and the script made by me (running on GlovePie) converts my wii controler inputs as mouse/keyboard actions. (continues on next post)

I did these controls, for the fun of it. Mostly explorating and getting experience of programming wii controls. However i did try to make something really playable. Never intended as full time replacement of the true controls. But more for ppl to have some fun with. I do believe however, that if you spend enough time with these controls, you will be very effective with them also. People that did PvP with me felt not diference between me with Keyb+mouse or using Wii controls. :)

looks too fiddly. mouse + keyboard ftw. itd be fun for casual gaming but if ur trying to go for a big grind at high lvl itd be murder. i like the video though. its pretty interesting.

For typing, you will still need a keyboard.

Unless you hook up a Speech to Text software, on your pc for it to type what you speak to the microphone. But such is untested by me if it works inside games.
