  • That bin holds ~19,000 bushels.

  • It looked like you put the sweeper in relatively early. I would suppose this would enable you to partially clean the emptied floor while still getting a steady flow to unload?

  • Yeah, the sweep auger is built in to the unloading system on this bin. Once it gets past the door, we go in and follow it around with a broom and shovel.

  • The sweep isn't removed before filling?

  • No, it is driven right from the main unload auger. There is a clutch to disengage it when you don't need it. Just set it about 10 feet back from the door and fill the bin.

  • Nice. We have 35 tones all corn when the harvest are finish :) How many hectares do you have, if may i ask ?

  • Well I've never had the chance to do it that way. And some of the bins I've cleaned had no sweep auger.

  • Smart people shovel and sweep behind the auger so when it is around fully you are done! Think about it.
