Many would agree that Errol Morris is one of the greatest living documentary directors, and arguably the best ever. His new film, TABLOID, tells the twisting tale of Joyce McKinney, a former Miss Wyoming who, in 1977 traveled to England to win back her boyfriend, a Mormon missionary. Whether she kidnapped him or hew went willingly is up for debate, but the salacious details of the "abduction" quickly became fodder for England's voracious tabloids.
In part 1 of my interview with Errol Morris, he talks about whether Joyce has really convinced herself that her story is true or whether she's simply a good actress, as well as the role of the law in the pursuit of the truth.
