Hmm, the only batsmen that have mastered the ways of spin on the team is Chanderpaul and Sarwan. Sarwan is good against spin bowling but he's not patient enough, hence the Vettori dismissal in the 1st ODI. Chanderpaul can make any spinner bleed runs even the mighty Muttiah Murilitharan as he did in the World Cup back in 07'. Once again, there is talent, but the Real West Indian swagger and will is just not there..

I totally agree with all three of your comments. I also like to add that this group of WI batsmen cannot bat spin and VETORRI will make them dizzy in the one days.They have no discipline.

Sarwan gets himself out. Just need to bowl him a good length way outside off stump and you'll eventually get an edge out of him. The Gayle you described was the Gayle of the past. Look a the New Zealand series, he's been demonstrating a good captain's knock and been controlling the team well. I'm not sure why Sarwan resigned from vice-captaincy but the West Indian team needs changes to it. Gayle, Sarwan, Chanderpaul, Taylor are the only players that are a lock in the side, there is talent but...

the way sarwan is playing now he isnt even a forsure starter let alone capt. gayle has been doin gooda as capt in nz no doubt , but like his batting game i dont think he uses much strategy just all power , no footwork hence a centurty then the next game duck.

Gayle has proven he's the best man for captaincy so far. I'd like to see our fellow Guyanese Sarwan get captaincy but until he is appointed again if at all, Gayle is a good man for the job. Sobers couldn't have said it any better, the batsmen especially Sarwan always get good starts and fade with a poor decision.
