  • I like Raiden, I'm ok with a hack and slash (though not at all enthusiastic) all i ask is that the frachise still has the same depth of story telling and character. Everything about the trailer suggests we can no longer take metal gear seriously. I wan't to like rising, i really do but that awful guitar and "revenge with a vengeance", this game looks like it has no intellegence at all

  • I shock Kojima's hand...3 tImes. It was the greatest day of my life.

  • @MegaSaint11 Well, it has one game to live up to and that's almost impossible to reach: Metal Gear Solid IV: Guns of the Patriots. Seriously, I don't know any game that is this brilliant. On a scale from 1 to 10 I'd definitely give it a 13.0 because it's just so effing good.

  • @angryduck5 Well, I'm still hoping that they'll surprise us after all. The writer is from Kojima Productions, after all, so maybe we get a great story thanks to him.

  • lil worried abouth this game, it better be effin good like the rest of them

  • @kewltyler44 Already know that. But the point is it should have been handled so much better. One thing that would have helped is not having so many unnecessary plot twists such as Liquid's arm that ultimately served no purpose and Vamp's "immortality" when the Cobra Unit never had nor did they need their powers explained.

It's too sloppy of a resolution compared to its predecessors and I'm not exactly the only person who thinks this.

  • @EdgarAllanTroll True, but all im saying is as a Metal Gear fan you should understand that mgs4 had to wrap up all the storylines of the games. After all kojima did say that mgs4 was to be the final chapter of solid snakes story. Even with four Metal Gear Solid games theres still alot of storys that could be told in the universe.

  • @kewltyler44 Never implied anything about there not being any more Metal Gear games, been playing them since MGS1 came out, and I'm pretty sure a lot of people do like actually playing the game just as much as watching the cutscenes.

Why else would there be such praise for MGS3's variety of boss fights? And fighting 22 Metal Gear RAY units in MGS2?

  • @EdgarAllanTroll You sound like a metal gear solid hater because they say the same thing,"i want to play a GAME not a movie" all the games had alot of cutscenes. Metal Gear Solid 4 was to end solid snakes story and it doest mean there wont be anymore meal gear games that will flesh out the story because metal gear solid peace walker was made. Lets not forget Metal Gear Solid 2 and its number of cutscenes.

  • @kewltyler44 Because it's a video GAME. Previous games managed to tell a cohesive story while keeping cutscenes a bit more minimal so it's entirely possible. But it's a perfect example of how Kojima's team wrote themselves into a corner with too many loose ends to resolve. They could have divided the game into two separate ones to flesh out the rest of the story better rather than wrap it up in such a lazy manner.

  • @EdgarAllanTroll No the cutscenes were NOT unnecessary the game had to end all the storylines of all the games to make as much sense as possible. If alot of cutscenes bother you in the first place then why are you watching a video on Metal Gear anyway?
