I totally agree. If Romney is the candidate I'll support him, but we could do better. As far as Rubio goes, he could kick Obama's ass right now. But maybe the best strategy for now is get him out of office and replace with the best conservative we can, let Rubio get seasoned in the Senate, and let him come in as the cleaup hitter in 2016 or 2020. God willing.
I'd love to see us get a real conservative this time around, but I'm hoping we get somone that can produce results.
@EchoMike03 I hear you man. I'm just hopeful to get someone on the ballot for 2012 other than Romney, who in my eyes is a hack. I was just saying that if it was possible for a man who is so blatantly inexperienced, and who lives on the pages of his speechwriter's teleprompter... maybe Rubio could have a chance.
Something like that, but the difference beween Rubio and Obama, among MANY MANY things, is that at least Rubio has some kind of a record. Unlike Obama who seems to only be capable of voting "Present".
Great speech. Nice to hear a politician talking passionately about his love for our country. It's sad that it happens so infrequently that it is refreshing to hear Mr. Rubio talk about it.
@MsPROUDAMERICAN1776 How obvious of a straw man are you? You are clearly a democrat guising yourself as a "proud american" to give this man a bad name.
@EmveeEss
The guy voted for the Dream Act when he was in the Florida Assembly. You fools think that he won;t vote for amnesty when the chance is given?
Give me a break. The Media is mulling for the guy, big time.

@MsPROUDAMERICAN1776 Yeah... because if there's somewhere I'm going to look for unbiased reporting... I'm going to waste my time on Politico.

@EmveeEss
I suggest you look up his immigration record when he was speaker of the Florida Assembly.
He voted for a State version of the dream act.
Once the US Senate seat was up for grabs he embellished his conservative stances and used the Tea Party as en expedient to get elected.
Google: Rubio Dream Act POLITICO
READ the entire article. You'll see exactly what I mean.
The media establishment is propping him up. He WILL cave when he get the opportunity.
