Duke does have some quality players in the NBA now, as does UNC. Historically, UNC alumni have had more success in the NBA than Duke alumni, but that could always change. And I'm a UNC fan, but I still recognize and respect the talent and coaching ability of Coach K and see him as one of the best coaches in the game. I understand it's a rivalry and fans are going to hate the "enemy", but take a lesson from the players and coaches and have some respect too.

Dean Smith has had a starter on over half of the NBA championship teams over the past 25 years... And the man hasn't coached in well over a decade. That in itself proves Mike's point and how great Dean Smith was.

I am a Duke fan, but I always had enormous respect for Michael Jordan. I hope that he gets Lebron at Charlotte and builds a dynasty there.

IMO, Grant Hill was on the way to being a great NBA player, but when he got that ankle injury, he was never the same like he was from 1995 to 2000.

14.1 ppg and 15.1ppg is average in the NBA. Thats good numbers in college but not in the nba.

I'm a Duke fan and I admire what you said. I'm glad you have respect for Coach K and Duke. I have respect for UNC. It's a really good school with an awesome basketball program. I just hope our teams will be good next year. I'm still wondering how that's going to turn out.
