I'm pretty sure they cut this scene from the episode. I'm watching the episode right now on Adult Swim and the scene never happened. :[

Yup, it's "Blues in Frankie's Flat" or "Blues in Hoss' Flat" by Frank Foster. This is one of his best songs, as "Easin' it" was quite shitty. But he was the trombone player for the Count basie band. I also played this song haha :P

This makes me very happy. <3

@markapplebytv It makes you wonder how many references you may be missing. yknow? These animated shows like the simpsons and family guy put in really obscure references every now and then that only one percent of the fan base understand but it's glorious when you're in that one percent.

2:16 thats no cigar, thats a fat blunt.

Jerry Lewis could be peter's dad, if he were irish
if you look at a few comments down, another commenter mentioned it might be Count Basie, Blues in Hoss Flat"

"Blues in Hoss' Flat" performed by Count Basie... But I can't take credit for actually knowing that, it was posted by a previous commenter (below) But in any case, I totally agree! Excellent Tune!

Thanks
But the credit/thanks belongs to jerry Lewis and Seth McFarland... I just did it as an excuse to play wth Final Cut (trying to teach myself how to use it)
I never really got into Family Guy much before, but this clip has impressed me to the point that I'm gonna have to go out and get the DVD's of all the seasons to catch up.. Im impressed with both the truly ground breaking originality of the Show, and also its parodies and tributes of other artists.. such as this one...
