The animals who were at the preimere of "Pocahontas" at Central Park fictionally were: Joe Streubens (fox), Devlin Blazkow (badger), Franklin Otterburt (otter), Beverly Falconer (falcon), John Streubens (fox), Marcus Buck (buck) and other animals that were at the premiere fictionally.

I believe this was done because this is the first movie that really represented the American History at that time, taken from a real event. Other movies were pure European fantasy. Pocahontas may not has been successful as other Disney movies, but as Americans we should take on account it's for sure part of what our country origins are what we see reflected in it.

@kpadmirer Quite the opposite. They thought it was going to be a great hit. I guess Disney just liked to do gimmicks like this. Cool video...thanks for sharing it.

Why did Disney do this? Was it because they had reason to believe that the movie would be a flop?
