This is a story of an Omaha man who led a life of crime as a teen. He did drugs and spent time in prison. But he found God while in jail, and when he got out started teaching his love of boxing to disadvantaged kids in south Omaha. He's turned his life around and is stopping kids like him from living the life he did as a teen. This is another Heartland Proud news feature that airs weekly on KPTM TV in Omaha, NE. I shoot, write and edit these pieces by myself over a 2-3 day period. They are shot primarily with a Canon XH-A1 and edited using Final Cut. Although I am now using a Canon 5D Mark II for portions of the stories, along with a Pansonic Lumix TZ-5 that I put on a monopod and use for boom shots.
I am a girl & I am hoping my mother will let me start going there(: I am trying to get my friends to start also.

Great it is good to see hope for the youth, I boxed a kid from victory boxing. I used to be stationed at offutt AFB. Anyway it is very inspiring to see someone taking the youth and transforming them.
