I have a degree in biology and have studied Louisiana wetlands for about 8 years now and there is absolutely nothing misleading about this information. Every statistic regarding wetland loss stated in this film is completely scientifically accurate. If you like to drive your car, you need to help save LA Wetlands b/c a HUGE percent of the oil and gas industry is based in South Louisiana.

You also failed to mention relative sea level rise from climate change, which will affect louisiana before it affects other states in the US. we're sinking, and the sea is rising.

not so much in orleans parish, not so much in Plaquemines, but in Barataria and Terrebone parishes.

Orleans and st bernard are hurt by the MRGO, and plaquemines for all of these reasons, but the role of oil and gas is consistently downplayed in the loss of louisiana.

Even the phrase "Coastal Erosion" is a misnomer, because only a quarter of the land lost is on the "Coastline."

as someone who works giving LA wetlands loss tours to volunteers, i like this. I would add that most wetlands loss is not on the "Coastline" and is not "Coastal Erosion"; but is lost from the interior--60%+ is interior subsidence due to Hydrologic modification, mostly from oil and gas canals.

Wow this was an eye opening video. Just to think of the destruction this is causing on the ecosystems there along with the coastline vanishing makes my stomach sick. Thanks for making this video.

That may well be the case, but Shell is a major sponsor. In my opinion it is all for Shell to do some green-washing. If Shell really have a hoot they would help fix the coast they broke!
