Ian McGeechan's final speech to the British Lions ahead of the third test (which the Lions won). Very emotional, the Lions will always matter.

  • If we all gave as much dedication into our lives as McGeechan gives to rugby, the world would be far better place to live in !

  • Can't say I know anything about Rugby or say I'm a fan, but fuck. There's in no way that you cannot respect this. "A respect and a reputation and to any person, that's the biggest thing you can ever have, for what you do and what you stand for" I mean people watch this shit and think it's a couple guys tossing around a ball or "it's just a game" This is these guys heart and soul poured into this. There life has boiled down to this one shot, the passion, the sacrifice, the drive. Incredible.

  • @ackerbee Dan C was outstanding that year. Incredible in the 2nd test. The frustrating things for the Lions was mainly missed tackles in the 2nd Test where Umaga's breakaway try knocked the stuffing out of us. But the NZ forwards had us for breakfast, especially the back row. I thought we regained some pride in South Africa, and I'm hoping we can do something very special in Australia.

  • @forsoup ...''soccer fans inbred''.. LOL...yes they give the UK a bad name...unlike the Rugby supporters who are of good cheer..(even in the face of big defeats)...you are right about the 2005 ABs...they had something to prove to their fans in NZ (re 2003 rwc)..the Lions trimming couldn't have been better...I dont think Ive ever seen a first five eigth(Dan C.) play a more sublime couple of games ( and ive been watching Rugby a very long time)

  • @ackerbee One of our most disappointing tours, 2005. That NEw Zealand team was utterly sensational, and we can accept defeat here. The disappointment was that we didnt make you fight or give you a fright. Usually the Lions test matches are so intense that it turns a good player into a great, and we didnt ask those sorts of questions of NZ that year. How that NZ side didnt lift the RWC in 07 I will never know. Its only the soccer fans who dont care about rugby, but they are generally inbred.

  • @forsoup ...We respect the Lions immensely here in NZ because we know how important these tours are to the home nations...in 2005 NZ was a wash with Lions supporters...(some even immigrated here after the tour)..I hear British people say that Rugby doesnt mean much in the uk ..its all football ..but when they win it means everything!...pitty they didnt win much in 2005 it was one of their best ever teams ...I think it was a white wash series... look forward to the next tour to NZ

  • @thecyberpunkten living with lions

  • @bcfsl Fuck off you africunt

  • @bcfsl I'd love to punch you square in the face.

  • I watch this video for nth time. Maybe I am wrong. I see the way they listen as though they don't care or they are sorry but can do nothing about it. How can they expect to do well in their careers if they do not even do simple things such as paying attention by keeping constant eye contact with Sir Ian McGeechan under this circumstance.

If ROG is man enough, he shall come out and say,' I f it up and I will do my bloody best to win this match', rather than having a headcoach begging them.

  • @thecyberpunkten It is from the Tour DVD 'Living With The Pride' which is the sequel to 1997s 'Living With The Lions'. It is a fascinating DVD to watch and I recommend it to anyone. Until you see these DVDs, you won't understand what it means to be a Lion and how much respect it breeds/
