Those looking for modern stores with big selections will be woefully disappointed in Kalaheo which does not even sport a real grocery store (there are 2 convenience stores). But those looking for offbeat places along with a few shantys will enjoy heading to Kalaheo. Two main attractions are Brick Oven Pizza said to be the best on the island and the Kalaheo Coffee Shop, both across the highway from each other. Oh yes, one can buy fresh eggs at Medeiros Farms located on Papalina Road.
