Chor & Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks. Wolfgang Sawallisch.

The Wieskirche at Steingaden/Bavaria, a pilgrimage church built between 1745 and 1754, is a Rococo masterpiece of absolute perfection. Unesco World Heritage Site since 1983.

  • Extraordinary beauty of choral art, symphonic foundation, and memorable architecture! I have this work also by the Choir of Trinity College conducted by Richard Marlow in Cambridge, England. There is a transcendent peace to this rapturous music which can bear repeated performance. Such divine choral masterpieces touch the soul in a magnificent manner, like a poem which strikes light into a darkened conscience. Franz Schubert's voice shall always remain alive through works such as this.

  • How we have missed you Raphael and your videos that combine the best in the realm of the spirit and the corporeal! The mysticism of Schubert's music settles deep into the soul while the eyes are dazzled by the elegant prettiness, graceful curves and miniature ornate art of the breath- taking Rococo Wieskirche Church! Schubert's music always sounds so simple and natural as if it could not be composed any other way... Always deeply moving, subtle and beautiful! Thank you and Bravo

  • Beautiful !

  • Praise God. Praise Him.
