The Game Is Still Changing.
Korg is pleased to announce the first releases in a line of expansion libraries for the Korg Kronos. As Rich describes in the video, there are two types. First up is the EXs Expansion Sample Series. Taking full advantage of the Kronos' built-in SSD, these expansion libraries provide large amounts of PCM data plus additional Programs and other extras such as Drumkits, etc. depending on the specific title. Kronos System Version 1.5 required for the EXs libraries. The second series is the KRS Professional Sound Series. Created by pro musicians and programmers intimately familiar with the individual Kronos engines, these sound libraries contain skillfully crafted Programs, Combinations, and Drum Patterns. http://www.korg.com/kronos

  • I wish youd give us a REAL demo on a lot of these sounds. This is the only way that you will get more sales on them.

  • is GENESIS Tony BANKS sounds included?

Did his leads, strings, choirs or synth organ get included in some of the patches similar to the EXTEME

  • Oasys was too costly nearing $10,000 for the 88key

M3 lasted a few short years until the arrival of KRONOS

TRITON series outlasted all of KORG synth line until the death of EXTREME

Hoping KRONOS line has a long life till it's replaced

  • @adrianh63 My experience with Triton is that it's sound seems stuck in the 90's early 00's. As soon as you play the patches you are taken back there. Kronos is a different sound. Triton is way old now. The M3 and Oasys happened in between it and the Kronos. You really can't compare the two.

  • How does TRITON Extreme w/ MOSS Board match up?

Will the Triton Extreme hold it's own long enough to keep?

Is upgrade to KRONOS suggested or is TRITON Extreme sufficient to delay replacement until there is another new replacement of KRONOS from KORG?

  • Can't afford the Kronos at the moment. But I will take one of those shirts.

  • KRONOS is the best workstation in the market!! Any doubt?

  • I want to hear some of the STR-1 sounds and all the others aswell.

The STR-1 is one that should have some real interesting new sounds I hope.

  • when will you be coming out with the kronos replacement board? soon, i'm sure. then, the game changes-again.

  • Stop talking about changing the god damn game already, there is nothing game changing about an expansion library. This tagline has really started to get on my nerves.

    Otherwise, cool stuff.
