But not everywhere in America is like this is it? I mean why would people assault someone for disagreeing with them? That just makes no sense to me.

Really? Tell me when the law of non-contradiction does not apply will you?
What you said about science does not change the fact that science does not deal in proof. That was the only point I was making [since you seemed to be implying it was devastating to philosophy if it could not prove things]. Science gives us paradigms. Then it tries to disprove the paradigm. This is has learnt from philosophy which functions in much the same way.

What the hell? Really?

@TheCartesianTheist ...which is that science only speaks of things within reality and does not attempt to answer any question outside of reality (or inside philosophy). So in stating that science has proven nothing ignors the fact that all scientific statements opperate upon the condition that reality is real and can be quantified. Anything else is metaphysical and outside the realm of science.

@TheCartesianTheist Of course I am not proving anything. Negative statements are not intended to prove, only to show a lack of proof for the converse. What, may I ask, have you proven? That one cannot answer a question with no answer? Bravo. Logical Laws themselves are flawed because I, or anyone with the inclination, can imagine circumstanes in which they do not apply and are incorrect. I think you also miss the most basic fact about science when you say that it does not prove anything...

Salvation-not-making-sense, is better left to minds making cents. Just tithe (Ten Percent) and let a fully deluded ass or a fully qualified conman do your thinking for you just one Sunday a week---listening and learning is not required, just believe.
You know what this reminds me of? How do you know the bible is real? cause it says it in the bible... hurp durp

Wise without being sceptical? There's a first! Perhaps Socrates was right about those who call themselves wise after all?
