It sounds like your screws are on too tight, try loosening them and see if that works

  • OMG Thank you so much!!! It was fixed from E74 so I unscrewed the screws to loosen the heat sinks and its working!!! thank you so much. If this didnt work for you guys then its not

E31/4431(0031 is the real secondary code). If it is that code then try usig a heat gun but make sure thats the problem. Subbed Liked commented favorited!!!

  • @alexymarisa screw them in just enough

  • my heatsinks are not even screwed in and i get this error. any help?

  • thanks for the vid man. i loosened my screws a little and the light went away

  • @fngnation same here i have the same problem i take the heatsinks off and still have the same problem did u find a solution to ur problem?

  • didnt help me out, must be the ram problem or gpu needs reflowed or balled. i dunno. i even took my xclamp off and the heatsinks off completely, still get the 0031 error. freaking sucks, lol.

  • this does work, you need to have a 1 mm thick nylon washer between the top and bottom of the mother board to keep the heat sink off the mobo. i also put on an exact fit zinc washer top and bottom as well and my 0031 went away. The extra washers help keep it off the mobo and keep it tight to the cpu/gpu. i really hopes this helps someone so u dont have to look all over the net like i did.

  • thanks man that worked but then i got a two ring of death. im making progress

  • thank yo so much but wont this cause overheating if my heat sink is loose???

  • Wow, this actually helped alot!

I loosened the screws and I still got E74, but it was a different error that was fixable
