If you want to REALLY know what you are talking about. Why don't you try to read books by people who are actually FROM SUDAN like Ali Askouri a Nubian, or Jok Madut Jok a Dinka, or Francis Bok or maybe the thousands of other Sudanese who all say genocide occurred. I know their voices may not be important to you but trust me you get a lot closer to the truth listening to them, they may not be your same ethnic group or religion but that doesn't mean they are irrelevant!

  • @Longlivepalestine Whether you like it or not Sudan is just as much a murdeous ethnic religious state like Israel. Like Israel is the Jewish state. Sudan is "the Arab-Islamic" state. And until both states can give up their religious-racial hegemony system there will be no peace.

If you truly care about justice... and not justice limited for Palestinians or for Arabic Muslims. You would not be so quick to dismiss the African voice like the way Israel is quick to dismiss the Palestinian

  • Instead of preaching to us Africans about whether genocide occurred in our lands why don't you actually take the time to hear our voices instead of relying on outsiders like save darfur or immigrants like mamdani to shape the narrative. it is insulting the way people like yourself would rather listen to outsiders then speak to the people who are actually oppressed. speak to the oppressed and you will know the truth. not to those who feign to have knowledge about us like mamdani or save darfur

  • @Longlivepalestine But just because they are all black does not mean that genocide can not occur. It really is disgusting to see how some ppls hatred for "save darfur" will lead them to deny a genocide. I am not defending the "Save Darfur" group b/c honestly i belive all groups led by white westerners do not really understand africa, but neither do I believe that "Africanist" like Mamdani understand those of us in Africa either.

  • @Longlivepalestine I have worked both in Sudan and in Palestine. And it you have ever been to Sudan you would not be so ignorant as to say a genocide did not occur. saying that is like saying apartheid does not exist in israel. It may not be continuing at the heightened level of violence but it genocide did occur nevertheless.

i have lived in sudan and i speak arabic. there is most certainly a "racial" divide between peoples similiar to the one in rwanda where all parties are black.

  • @BattleAngel I completely disagree. There is a war in Darfur, there is no genocide. The government is using disproportionate violence, but only to enemy combatants, not to a particular race.

In the case of Israel/Palestine, Israel is clearly targeting one group: The palestinians. It's not like that in Darfur despite the bogus Arab/Black narrative that's given off by the Save Darfur.

Wanna help people? Focus on a REAL genocide or a REAL ethnic battle.

No Save Darfur is a criminal organization as the Janjaweed. They waged the war in Darfur and exploited the victims of civil unrest. This organization MUST BE STOP.

  • yes. that was probably one of the stupidest arguements i heard for defaming the "save darfur" group. mahmood wants accountability only from the west but not anyone else. everyone else must be vicitms.

him condemning the save darfur movement for "focusing" on darfur is like when pro-israeli groups condemn palestinian right groups for "focusing" on the crimes of israel in palestine... its important to address all situations! its really a shame they call him a scholar.

  • mohmood is criminal
