....and the same woman was now right at the window, giving her a very stern and displeased look. Thinking this woman was angry at her for disrupting her class, she went back over to the door to apologise. Again, no one answered the door. She went over to have one final look in the window and the schoolhouse was completely empty. She walked around the entire school, but no teacher or students were to be found.

Not entirely sure it's a residual haunt. I read a story about a woman who had recently moved to the area. She heard of this school and being a teacher herself, wanted to check it out. As she was walking around the schoolhouse, looking into the windows, she was startled to see a woman inside, staring back at her. She figured it was a class field trip from a nearby school, so she went to knock on the door in hopes she could sit in. But no one answered the door. She went back over to the window....
