3d has been around for over 100 years. i have a couple hundred pix for the Stere-Opticon, and will make several movies of them if you are interested. The pix you see here are from 1900.
i assume the copyright is expired lol if not eeeek!

Yes i know I mispronounced it "Stereo-Opticon." old habits die hard.

If anyone wants to help me learn how to turn these old 3d pix into modern digital 3d pix, let me know.
this is a great example, check these out!

  • did you say the name of that contraption is an 'isculpture'? 'istereopticon'? nice to see it was hand-held.

the cameras used for those photos were huge, and the people had to stand there, motionless, for over 3 minutes...otherwise it would blur.

    great vid man.

  • Sir Brain May does a lot to restore those things, i think its those things or something similar. Maybe you can sell it to him for $10 million dollars?

  • wonderfu......thanks

  • well they are animated gif files.. do you have paintshop on that there mac of yours... it might be able separate the overlay for you and you can see what they did..

  • i agree. err uhh what did they do?

  • i think you should be able to duplicate with you software what they do on the Japanese pics in that link..

  • Awesome find. You always seem to find something unusual.

  • Awesome presentation! Inspires me to go check out the one my parents have...

That big man in the right hand corner of the pic really creeps me out...he doesn't seem to fit in with that group...maybe he is a vampire!

  • Hey, that's antique ! How great to see this !!! Beautiful !
