not really, he just focuses on the negative things in life and ignores the positive.

You're just being pedantic, not smart.

Yes, "circling" isn't the correct term for an astronomer, or a pretentious ass, but it's been a colloquial way of referring to the movements of the stars, sun, and moon for centuries, which we now know to be elliptical.

Don't be that dick that pops in to say things like, "Earth isn't a sphere, it's a spheroid FUCKO!!!"

And isn't the search for a Theory of Everything predicated on the assumption that all four fundamental forces are linked in some way?

Our southerners use it as a slur against Americans from basically anywhere else. Other than that, it's not really used, but you wouldn't expect it to be.

It's always been meant to be used by non-americans, even if it was adopted as a badge of honor after the revolution.

Why do so many foreigners assume that all Americans are idiots? I mean, are you just a run-of-the-mill troll, or are you genuinely a giant asshole?

Cause if you're a true believer in being a dick, I'd like to pick your brain.

Except those people in other countries use "yankee" as a label for anyone in the United States. A yankee is technically someone from the Northern States - and it can be derogatory. I could say the same about you - your world view ends in Europe.

Sorry to fuck this up for you and your big mother planet vision, but we are mean and we are stronger than the planet. We could easily destroy it beyond any 'healing'. That's why i agree that people got to understand each other before we can do something like helping the planet or finding a now one.

The word yankee is widely used outside the U.S. Yankee in Europe, yanqui in Latin-America. But you use the word stateside, so your view on the world probably ends at the Mexican and Canadian borders. That's, how do I put this, well ...kinda yankee.

If you dont find it funny, then sorry to say this but you DON'T understand the message. Oh and one more thing, using the word Yankee when refferring to people from the U.S. is just sad, that word hasn't been in common use stateside in about 150 years(look up the civil war), and thats beside the fact that that word is used in poor taste.

I don't disagree with you. This is a great reason to not have children. This is why I'm not having any. The future for humanity is pretty fucked. We're too greedy for our own good, just like nature programmed us to be.

Justifying any action we make as "thats what nature programmed us to do" is a cop out. We have enough intelligence to make a choice not to do these things. Georage Carlin is actually making it clear that he thinks we are screwing ourselves over with our actions. Killing their habitats is also taking out trees that suck up CO2. The planet will survive and repair, but we will not.
