@Jam6813 You're over-exaggerating, a £500 graphics card? you spent £1300 on a pc? no wonder you're nuts - these days you spend about £800. Comparing pc to ps3 is stupid, the reason why pc is more expensive is because of all the things you can do with it. Plus with a high-end graphics card it isn't designed just for games, it can be used to for graphics design and all sorts. Pc games are cheaper, usually brand new pc games are £30-35 and ps3 are £45.

@88adamjohn you can get a decent gaming pc for around $600 and if you think about it your console costs around $250 maybe more if you brought it a few years back and every household needs a pc for things as simple as web browsing email and homework so a pc like that would cost about another $300, and on top of that pc games are cheaper than console games on release not to mention how often steam has games on sale (i just downloaded deus ex for £10). :)

@88adamjohn Yeah, theres the compatibility problem too, and most of the development companies are blocking modding so they can explore the gamers and launch paid DLCs. But it is worth.

Wish I had a gaming PC, that's an amazing difference. Dunno why everyone is arguing, it's taken for granted that PC's are better simply cus they are run on newer software. As soon as the PS3 comes out it's out of date because technology moves so fast. PC's have other benefits as well (such as mods). I only wish I could afford a gaming PC plus the improvements I'd need to make to it everytime the hardware gets out of date.

because it is a tactic of console company. they sell their consoles under the real cost,

but they take some percentage of every game sold for their consoles.

therefore they take loss from their products, but they take profit from other companies' products.

by this method they let their consoles sell more, but also reap the benefits by controlling the game profits.
