People usually get married because they LOVE each other. However many farangs marry Thai women so they can bring them back to Farangland. If it was not for immigration laws nobody would be getting married. All of the hundreds of thousand marriage/dating sites state that Thai women are traditional and respectful and are looking for a HUSBAND.

I'm Thai and it is true that Thai women have a reputation of going after farang men because of their money. But I feel like judging Thai women in general like that is not fair. My mom married a farang man, who at the time had barley any money. They were in love. My stepdad says my mom is the best thing that's happened to him. Then for some reason you sighn this document that says this womani s your wife. And you continue on working just as you did before you married her and some how or way everything you work for is hers. @PolishBehemoth One of my colleagues worked in Thailand for several years - she reliably informs me that, compared to Thai men, our overweight, 'charming' UK male losers are a pleasant alternative because a lot of Thai men are lazy, chauvinistic and violent and, of course, they have no money. This is very true! I used to date a thai girl and a phillipina girl (both born in asia not america). They like if you if you spend money on them. When you stop spending the money they dont want to talk. There are some asian women who are serious and after personal traits. But not most! Beware men! Women in most regions are after our american money! DAMN THE GOLD DIGGERS TO HELL!
