I dont think there is a man that ever compared to Rudolphs' charisma and magnetism on the screen. His eyes pulled you in and his face, hands and body held you like a magnet. You couldn't look away while he was on the screen. I have just discovered this man and now I am rabidly reading and watching everything about him and find him irresistible. His life was short and sad but his legacy to us is a true gift. Rest in peace Rudy, you are still loved.

Love god is right! So many have tried, but they can't come remotely close to Rudy. He melts the screen.

As with all of your RV videos, this is lovely and very well done. I'm glad you cut the response of Beatriz Dominguez to Rudy's flirty wink from "The Four Horsemen, because I just about barf every time I see her--I have no intention of insulting her living family members, but couldn't they have gotten a more attractive double for the close-up and just used her for the dance sequences?

@crupprecht1 Ah, I see. Looking at the overall movie, it's probably best they took it out. If Ahmed sees Yasmin too much, it would lessen the feel of his losing her. Thanks!

I really enjoyed this. Thanks for being true to the time period with your choice of music. I have loved Rudy since I first saw him,( I was 12 yrs ) The best book I have read is DARK LOVER, I recommend it to all his fans. Rudy did not like the skeik image, as he thought it type casted him as the dark lover. Rudy was a home body who loved to cook. He also loved horses and road in the hollywood hills as much as he could, also loved dogs. He was really did want kids too .

Love G-d INDEED!
Two questions, if I could -- what's the movie at 0:54? And is the next scene a deleted one from "Son of the Sheik"? I don't remember it from the film.

@TokyoSpike the scene at 0:54 is from "Eyes of Youth" (1919) and, yes, the next scene was a deleted scene from "Son of the Sheik." I believe this is can be found in the special features of the DVD for "The Married Virgin" (1918).

@crupprecht1 Thanks! I've got to get a multiregional DVD player one of these days, so I can buy and watch these DVDs in Japan. Could I ask you what kind of dialogue there was in the "Son of the Sheik" deleted scene? Is Valentino putting on an act in it, pretending to be callous when he really doesn't want to give Yasmin up?

@TokyoSpike there is no dialogue in this clip. it is from a newsreel of RV's funeral.
