Descriptive Text for Video

In the opening scene Rachel is standing in a business environment talking about growing up on a cotton and peanut farm. The next scene shows several people examing peanut plants. The scene changes to Rachel standing outside on the UGA campus talking about graduating from UGA. The next image shows the scoreboard at Sanford Stadium (UGA football field). The scene returns to Rachel standing outside talking about jobs available with an Ag Communications degree; the next image shows several agricultural magazines and publications (Pest Management Guide and the Garden Problem Solver). The scene changes to images of fruits and vegetables, followed by video of a farmer riding a large tractor through a crop field.

The scene changes to interns working indoors in a laboratory setting. They are wearing lab coats, safety glasses and latex gloves while pouring liquid from a container into a beaker.

The scene returns to Rachel standing indoors talking about her current job. The scene changes to a horticulture farm. The scene changes to a large group of students walking to class (as Rachel talks about recruiting student interns). The scene returns to Rachel standing indoors talking about her current job; the next scene shows a large irrigation system watering a field of crops.

The scene returns to Rachel sitting indoors talking about mentoring college students; the scene changes to a college classroom where students are attending a lecture. In the next scene Rachel is talking about working with citrus and vegetable growers; the image changes to outdoor scenes of growers examinging crops in their field. There are close-up images of some of the crops - a cotton plant and vegetables (green peppers) growing on a vine.

In the final scene Rachel is talking about her favorite parts of being a student at UGA. The image changes to a G(eorgia) banner at a football game followed by the UGA football team bursting through the banner and running across the field. The football stadium is filled with cheering fans. The next scene shows downtown Athens and the storefront of several local restaurants that are unique to the Athens community. The video ends with a group of UGA students gathered in front of Conner Hall on South Campus; they are talking and laughing. Next is a similar scene of students socializing in front of Conner Hall. (Note: Conner Hall recently celebrated its 100th birthday and has long been the location of administrative offices for the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.)
