Ten is the debut studio album by the American grunge band Pearl Jam, released on August 27, 1991 through Epic Records. Following the disbanding of bassist Jeff Ament and guitarist Stone Gossard's previous group Mother Love Bone, the two recruited vocalist Eddie Vedder, guitarist Mike McCready, and drummer Dave Krusen to form Pearl Jam in 1990. Most of the songs began as instrumental jams, to which Vedder added lyrics about topics such as depression, homelessness, and abuse.

Ten was not an immediate success, but by late 1992 it had reached number two on the Billboard 200 chart. The album produced three hit singles: "Alive", "Even Flow", and "Jeremy". While Pearl Jam was accused of jumping on the grunge bandwagon at the time, Ten was instrumental in popularizing alternative rock in the mainstream. The album has been certified diamond by the RIAA in the United States, selling over 9,800,000 copies, and remains Pearl Jam's most commercially successful album.

(Apologies for the bad audio on "Once")

  • I officially love you for uploading this whole album, have you done it for the rest of them? x

  • I might be comin' off a little bias, but I think Mike McCready is one of the top guitarists of my generation. ..With Pearl Jam you can see glimpses of it, but I feel he was being held way back from what his capabilities were, which became more evident on each new album. BUT, when Mad Season formed I felt like he really got to put his talent on display. Especially on November Hotel. Thanks for the music you have made Mike!!! Plus Pearl Jam rocks....

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE.....this is great!!

  • @lordcairon777-Translation-"Thanks for uploading this album, This band was the soundtrack of my and my daughters life! She was conceived, born and raised with this album." Haha too funny.

    PEARL JAM FOR EVER!!!

  • Pearl Jam credits Kurt Cobain for keeping them real, pure, and wary of turning mainstream and selling out. Stone Gossard said: "if we're great now, it's because of him."

  • Every day at work with this.

  • Daily overdose of Pearl Jam .
