I watched this in utter amazement. I was taking piano lessons in the '60's when this was written. For me, a young novice, Bartok was hard enough. I wonder if anyone other than the likes of John Browning, for whom the work was written, would have had the nerve to attempt it, let alone 10 & 12 year olds. Do you think Barber could have imagined a pair of schoolboys tackling this monster ?

What a beautiful piece, and astounding that it has been mastered on a professional level by you two young gentlemen.
I think I'm going to stick strictly with jazz piano from here on out, lol!

Thank you all for your wonderful comments! We are flattered! We truly enjoy 20th century and contemporary classical music. We played the complete Barber Piano Concerto a year ago but never had the chance to record it.
