Knowing what you are looking at is VERY important. Maybe the yellow Marx passenger car is worth the $20. The caboose, about $5, the cattle unloading car might be worth the $20 the 906, in it's condition, $10 Instruction manual nada, and the rest is prewar, which I don't know. At a train show, $20 to $25 for the box would be considered a good buy. If you bought to resell, you'll be hard pressed to pay yourself much after expenses.

Not only do you have to be the first one their you also have to be a fast walker and have your eyes wide open and do some digging. I recently opened a ratty looking old card board box that was on the ground of this old timers lot and OMG it was filled with mint Redline Hotwheel cars i gave him a generous offer and walked off with over 300 cars!

It depends on the train. You have to have a little knowledge on what to buy. I know American Flyer is a good name and is well collected. Even if I did not know it was a good name, I can tell by the quality and the fact it's made of metal that it's a good deal as opposed to a modern plastic train that takes batteries. I usually sell my stuff on Ebay, so what I get depends on the item and sometimes luck.
