This scene was very humiliating for my BELOVED Portugal. I thought we had trators only in Greece. But no. There are others as well to obey like servants to ALL MIGHTY GERMANY!!! too bad!!!

    Humiliating why???

Gaspar Is talking in that position because Schauble is on a wheelchair (assassination atempt in the 90´s).

Portugal is doing a good job, and in our culture and traditions we always pay what others lend to us.

you must be German first of all. What makes me feel like this is the whole scene. The big father is talking to his poor son and he is listening like a poor servant. At the end he says thank you and the German minister replies machs nichts LOL. Germany is winning a lot of things through this whole game. So dont come to me with this attitude please. Ich liebe deutchland auch... but this is not right. That guy makes us suffer!!!!

@srevefromvirginia rightly said. Too bad the hardliners in Germany cannot understand this. The US for example would never let one of its states to default and then kick it out. A simple refinancing issue became a massive economic crisis.

But everyone looks like that talking to him who is bound to his wheel-chair. Besides he is always like that, a bit arrogant perhaps but no-nonsense sort of guy. I read some of his interviews on German media, and it seems both him and the interviewers like direct, in-your-face style. At times they talk about things that might be considered very rude and sensitive elsewhere and make them look like totally normal.

It is not Schauble's place to pass any judgments: - There is no federated state called 'Europe'. If there was there would not be a credit problem! Schauble is not a king or a mafia don, he just acts like one. He is the petit minister of a state just like Portugal. Germany has exactly the same structure and same structural problems as Greece and the rest. Germany is completely dependent upon external sources of credit: Portugal defaults today, Germany tomorrow.

What i see here is just a vote of trust of Mr. Schauble on the good work done by Portugal.

If you see something else...I don´t.

P.S. You write In a good Portuguese!!!

    Good luck for Greece.

There are no traitors, you fool. It´s Germany that is going to save your portuguese finances and the remaining of your country within the EU....hopefully. You can always look on this process like many do: Germany allmighty, while others are being dominated and being treated like poor victims.

This ain´t true: It´s the financial discipline of a few countries within the EU that is most important for the economic survival of the whole system, even though the represent a minority. Think about it!
