  • get of the case of the sulfites ?? how am i suppose to answer my question regarding the safety of adding sulfur to wine if your answer is to tell me to stop asking the question ???... complete nonsense

  • I like this dude's no-nonsense explaination. Thanks.

  • I guess that when I drink wines in France and don't get headaches it must be due to my imagination. Ya, that's it...imagination.

  • You do not no, what your talking about .Sulfites are a slow poison.

  • @moore79 Thats why I puff my greens instead.

  • This is rubbish!

  • very useful thanks! :)

  • They have added Sulphites into nearly all of our processed foods as well as drinks including wine and beer. Sulphites can cause an acute asthma attack for some people. For others it can cause mood swings (angry drunk), intolerance, heart palpatations, high blood pressure and agression. A great mix to have with alcohol!

  • "It's true, sulphur has been added to wine for a couple of thousand years" THIS GUY DOESN'T KNOW AT ALL WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT!!!!! Sulfites are definitely a natural by-product of fermentation, so there is no such thing a 'sulphite-free wine'; this is not the issue, the problem under scrutiny is the addition of SO2 in the vineyard as well as in the winery at different phases of the winemaking process. Adding sulphur is a recent phenomenon, it is poison to us, it is not necessary in wine.

  • Sulfites is a preservative. Not FOOD, but PRESERVATIVE! What else is unclear to you people?! It is there to protect food from spoiling on the shelves and make a buck for companies, IT IS NOT there to protect your HEALTH!
