I have known hundreds of British people in my time and, while some may embody certain stereotypes more than others, the majority (perhaps a word that I should have used in my original statement) fall well within the parameters that I mentioned. There are some exceptions, such as Julie Andrews.

Well, that's where you're going wrong then, isn't it? You shouldn't be judging the entire 60+ million people in Britain on the few that you've come into contact with. Personally, I think smoking is stupid, as is having a royal family, and I've never once claimed to be the embodiment of good manners, I'm also from England, so all of this completely goes against your original statement. There's also a lot of people I know who contradict your opinion, who also happen to be British.

Who claims to be the embodiment of good manners? I certainly don't - and what you're using there is a stereotype, and trust me, there's far worse stereotypes for Americans than Brits.

Smoking has actually been decreasing year-on-year in this country, since 1948, from 65 per 100,000 to 40 (in males).

God there's so much more I could say, but I think I've already proven how much of an idiot you are.
