Chapter 4

The man turns around and shoots!
*screams*

Joe: Demi!
Demi is laying on the ground holding her side. The man runs out of the room. Nick tries to chase him but he gets away. Nick runs back into the room.

Joe: *holding Demi* Nick! Call an ambulance!
Demi: Joe it hurts so bad!
Joe: This is all my fault. I should have never left you.
Demi: *crying* How did you know to come back?
Joe: Nick and I had a feeling.

Nick: *on the phone* No! She's been shot. Just get an ambulance here. Hurry!
What? Yes she's bleeding idiot! Thank you! *hangs up* Idiot
Demi:I don't feel good. *faints*
Nick: How much is she bleeding?
Joe: *takes his hand off of her side*
Nick: Oh my god!
Joe: Where is the freakin ambulance!?!?!
Nick: I don't know! The operator was so stupid. I have to call Selena.
Joe: *talking to Demi* The ambulance is coming, you're gonna be ok.

The ambulance arrives. And puts Demi on the stretcher.

Peremedic- *talking to Joe* Are you shot too? You are covered with blood.
Joe: No, just Demi. Can I ride with her?
Peremedic-Yeah.
Nick: I'll meet you there!
Joe: Ok.

In the ambulance

Joe: Come on demi wake up! *kisses her*
Demi: Joe? Holy Crap it hurts!
Joe: Hey Dem!
Paremedic-Ms. Lovato this doesn't look very good.
Joe: What?
Paremedic- It looks like it might have hit something important.
Demi: Your the paremedic tell me what it hit!
Paremdic- I can't tell. You are losing a lot of blood. I can barely tell where its coming from.
Demi: Oh my god! *starts crying*
Joe: Your gonna be fine. *holds her hand and kisses her forehead*
Demi: But what if I lose too much blood? What if I die? We are supposed to get married and have kids and OMG!
Joe: Woah woah! Slow down a minute! You are not gonna die.
Paremedic- We're here. Hold on Demi we are gonna pull you out of the ambulance.
Demi: Ok.

They get into the hospital.

Doctor-Ms. Lovato, we are going to take you back now. Mr. Jonas, can you please tell the nurse what happened, while I examin Demi.
Joe: Sure, *tells the nurse what happened*

Doctor comes out.

Doctor-Joe, are you Demi's boyfriend?
Joe: Yes, why?
Doctor- Umm..you might need to come in the room for a second.
Joe: Ok?

They go in the room.

Demi: When are we gonna get this stupid bullet out of me?
Doctor- Well, there is a bigger issue.
Joe: Huh? Whats wrong with Demi?
Doctor- Well, the bullet has hit her uteres. (I don't know how to spell it)
Demi: What?
Doctor- There is a huge possibility that you will not be able to have children.

Joe and Demi look at eachother.

Demi: You mean.,I can never have kids?
Doctor- Yes. I am so sorry.
Demi: *starts sobing*
Joe: Can you give us some time alone?
Doctor- Sure, but we need to get the bullet out as soon as possible.

The doctor leaves. Joe crawls up into the hospital bed with her.
Demi: *crying* Joe, do you know what this means? We can never have little baby of our own.
Joe: Yeah, *a single tear comes down his face* we can always adopt though.
Demi:But still, i wanted a baby that looked like both of us...and..
Joe: We'll figure everything out later. When we are older. Now lets get you into surgery.
Demi: Ok.

Joe gets the doctor. They prep demi for surgery.

Demi: I love you.
Joe: I love you too. I will be right out side.
Demi: ok.
