Bush was in business with the Bin Laden family. Do you seriously think, after allowing the Bin Laden family to fly out of the USA on 9/11 (the only planes in the air) that he would kill their son? It would be like giving up billions of dollars in business. He did in fact pull the bait and switch with Saddam for many reasons - "to be a great president I have to have a war" (as quoted by Scott McClellen). I was just back form my firts tour in Iraq when it was time for the 2004 pres elections. I could not believe he was reelected. After WWII there were a number of war profitiers who were tried for over charging and selling sub-quality parts and equipment to the Department of Defense.
