Oregon Scientific ATC3K Action Cam review on a 2008 Yamaha C3 Scooter

I mounted it on the helmet because I didn't want to deal with handlebar mount vibration and I like recording my head turns
Microphone is useless, I can barely hear the engine noise over the wind
USB 1.1 data transfer is slow
Light/dark transitions are kinda bad
I haven't used it at night yet
Waterproof
Self-contained unit - no wires
Many mounting options, with quick release
Hard to get aimed correctly without viewfinder
Works with Ubuntu for transferring videos
Doubles as webcam (haven't tried it on ubuntu yet)
Small and lightweight
48 degree Field of View
4GB capacity means 2hrs of 640x480 30fps video capture
2 blind button presses with audio feedback and you can start/stop recording
~$130 free shipping with 4GB SD card on ebay

*The Cokes are Mexican... they use real sugar instead of syrup. Awesome!

45mph is bloody fast for a scooter this size. I Was wondering if you could help me - I'd like to know the lenght of the inside of the storage compartment - reason being that I'd like to know if it could hold my camera's tripod. I can't find the info online.

  • No I'm not on C3riders. But I am going to get my MRP transmission parts from KS Power in Iowa they are their modded Dr. Pulley variator, slider weights, Gates belt and Dr. Pulley's "hit clutch." KS said they are working on a REAL fuel controller/rev limiter for the C3 that's even prograrmable! Unfortunatly MRP dosn't have the exhaust in stock right now.

  • Good video. The Yamaha C3 is the best 49cc 4 stroke scooter on the market even better than Vespa. I would like to make some videos of my C3 going top speed after a few mods to the transmission but I don't have the type of camera where that is possible. Make more C3 videos they are fun to see. My C3 goes barely 45mph stock but it should go a little faster after I mod it

  • it's madcon vs paperboys - back on the road
