@rishloomusic If he is talking about how important the lyrics are to listen at the beginning of the piece and he says that it is a commentary from which we need to learn, how is it wrong to ask them not to clap and listen to the message? Also, even if that were true being self absorbed (as you call it) does not send you to hell. Not placing your trust in the Risen Savior Jesus Christ and repenting (to turn from) of your sins is what places a person in the path of God's righteous judgement.

Keith Green, music was used as praise in out street minerstries, for praise . God used him in many lives to follow Jesus! He laughing with joy now on glory.

I believe this was right on the heels of his sudden Hawaii vacation (via Winkie Pratney) and before his old friend finally sold the 140-acre property in Garden Valley, Texas (where He, Josiah, and Bethany are buried) ... he was, as moat of his brief Christian life, in a known state of change coming from the Lord for himself, his family, and Last Days Ministry.

Keith Green is awesome!

Rishloo - Keith's music was sharing the Gospel - he didn't need the applause, but it was important to him that people heard the message he was singing.
He didn't "fail in the secular world" - he switched from secular to Christian while his star was beginning to rise.

Keith wasn't perfect... Heck, it bothers me seeing him ask for the audience not to clap.... But that doesn't erase the depth of his sincerity, And as Keith himself sang. "WhenI hear the praises start I want to rain upon you, blessings that will fill your heart. I see no stain upon you because you are my child and you know me, to me you're only holy. Nothing that you've done, remains, only what you do for me..."
Get your thoughts around the Glory of THAT.

Wow! I was at this concert when I was in high school! So glad to see a piece of it online!

this man gave away his records and tapes throughout his ministry.. all that mattered was for people to know the Lord and His Love for them... I have learned so much about being a follower of Jesus through his testimony, his music and his preaching..

wow... what makes you hate him so much? He succeeded in doing God's will for his life, and btw... he had much more talent than most secular musicians today for sure.
I think you should do a little more research about Jesus, and have an open mind and heart to what you find.
At the end of the 'Make My Life A Prayer To You' he stands up and is wanting to speak but the audience is clapping. So Keith being Keith, joins in the applause, but givine applause to the Lord Jesus Christ. Your judgement of Keith is very wrong.
