I climbed this bridge with my brother back in '03, and it was an amazing experience, we climbed it in the evening, where we could see the harbor with all the lights. I just wish they would let us bring our own cameras...just have something to secure them. I would take hundreds of photos and numerous videos...the view is breathtaking!

@SnowbordrWRX : I too regret lack having my own camera, but I guess it's for the best. Don't want to be dropping anything! On my first evening in Sydney, we had meal down by the harbour. To my left was the Bridge and straight ahead the Opera House. All lit up That was pretty cool and memorable.

I am afraid very few things are free at the moment. I would point out (as far as I remember) you are not wearing your normal clothes underneath. They are a bit utilitarian as far as fashion is concerned. I will stick to my grey jogging bottoms and my favourite 10 year old t-shirt for slouching around in!

~ I heard that the bridges has hinges on both sides. During hot days, the steel expands and the bridge can get as high as 1 foot taller.

@StowAlex : That's probably so. I was on footbridge across the River Boyne in ireland last week. You could feel the bridge move. Hope to upload the film soon.
