While Mumbai was busy bidding good-bye to their favourite lord ganpati on a rainy Saturday evening, a British journalist named Nick was busy shooting documentary based on Indian street kids who feed their stomach on food offered in as Prasad. Thousands of ganesh devotees had gathered on Girgaon chowpati today to perform the final pooja to lord ganesh and finally to say good-bye to
him. As their ganpatis were immersed in the vast ocean, so was all the waste material that was used in the five days of the festival. Inspite of the clean Mumbai drive, thousands of devotees were seen throwing plastic waste in the water, which would eventually come back
to shore. The street children who come every year to the shore duringganpati in search of some good food collect this waste. A British journalist working for a television channel was spotted documenting the hunt for food by the street kids. I have been coming in India to shoot various documentaries, this is one is especially based on the
plight of the Indian street kids. I am not authorized to disclose the name of the documentary as it is still in making. said Nick who had attracted curios mob behind him. The Visarjan is special attraction to many foreigners who fly to India to see the mighty Visarjan.
