They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.
Acts 5:42
In the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.
Acts 8:3

Just from the beginning, the first guy gave a pretty good description. I think it was good that the second guy clarified that a house church is not just a "bible study." Frankly, the question is kind of stupid. Very few things are good or bad, black or white in general. Glad these guys make a fair distinction.

We have a small home church fellowship. We wanted to break away from a church with a 501-C3 status, because we didn't want to be linked to the government (unequally yoked) and also wanted to be with our family. We felt God was calling us to start our own. There is about 20-25 in our fellowship. Theres singing, announcements, & preaching. It's definitely more of a church than a Bible study setting. Our fellowship is focused on personal evangelism, and group evangelism in our own community!

At least Dave Hunt and TJ. Mcmahon have a neutral stand regarding this issue. I agree with them. It's not because you gather in a home church that will define you as a Christian, it's your Faith in Jesus and the word of God that will tell you that you're a Believer. I belong to a Home Church right now but we also admit that we make mistakes on how we conduct our services(Not being occultic sense). I must admit though, Viola and Barna right now are doing an excellent job on Pagan Christianity.

All the elitists who use the "forsake not" verse to imply only one of their "authorized" church groups will NEVER EVER be heard quoting the following verse.
17 Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together NOT for the better, but for THE WORSE.
The Bible must be interpreted, if one doesn't interpret it properly one will end up accepting one of the thousands of false teachings/interpretations that has been accepted among "Christianity" in the last 2000 years.

All these elitists who hold this "forsake not the assembly" verse to only mean an "authorized" church building/group like one of theirs are preaching heresy as far as I am concerned. All the verse implies is not to be a hermit/monk. The Bible says where two or three are gathered, not where 200 or 300 are gathered. There is NO example of churches as we have today found in the New Testament, all the examples were in homes or meetings outside, every other concept is only implied with no specifics.

I find the hardcore churchgoer's logic inconsistent. Specifically, hardcore churchgoers condemn people who do not attend a particular "church" as "lone rangers," yet they themselves have no problem with the voluntary practice of willingly segregating themselves from each other by attending different "church homes."
"Do as I say, not as I do," eh?

me, friends and my family meet at my parents house on friday nights. I have tried churches in the green bay area and they are so apostate. not truth just light stuff and never substance. thank you for this vid!
The body of Christ is the true church. No one can find true happiness in a church building. Seek first the kingdom of God, then all things will be added...home churches are just as infilterated with evil as buildings. You must be very dicerning as to where you worship and who you worship with. Forget what you think you know and just sit at Jesus feet and He will teach you.
