Is this machine safe/effective if used on a patient who suffers from cold urticaria (allergic reaction to cold)? Also, why couldn't you just freeze your own fat at home using ice treatment?

@mattvorwald Zeltiq is not safe for a patient with cold urticaria. Every patient should be seen by a physician before choosing this procedure. Coolsculpting is completely different from icing at home as the machine has suction and the cold therapy is controlled.
